One of my most favourite set of books is Calvin And Hobbes. It's about a 6-year-old boy and his stuffed tiger. Calvin has an overreactive imagination. He imagines Hobbes as a real living tiger who can talk and walk on his hind legs. His imagination also includes several of his "alter egos" like animals: eagles, elephants and fish. His other egos include the ever famous Spaceman Spiff, Stupendous Man and Tracer Bullet. Hobbes, on the other hand thinks a lot more reasonably and rational than Calvin. Although, he does tend to get fierce when he and Calvin are arguing which then lead to fighting. A habit of Hobbes is that whenever Calvin walks close, he pounces. He also waits until Calvin gets home from school and pounces when Calvin opens the door. Calvin and Hobbes is a comic book. Bill Watterson, who is the author of Calvin and Hobbes says that Hobbes represents all his good qualities while Calvin is his ranting escapist side. He also says that Hobbes was made based on Watterson's cat Sprite who had "an unnerving tendency to come out of nowhere at a high speed" (Those were his words). All in all it is a very funny comic strip. Here are some strips below. 100% Recommend Calvin and hobbes.
