This week I worked with my Startup Dojo to take on a new challenge: making and presenting my first pitch!
Here’s how we did it:
We made a mind map of my goals and personality to start brainstorming what I would include in the pitch script.
We looked at pitches that other people had done and took down notes
Wrote a script
Practiced the script.
Presented my final pitch!
Although it was fun, it was not easy. One thing that I struggled with was practicing presenting it. It felt awkward at first to do gestures.
Here are some lessons I learned from this cool experience:
What is a pitch? Giving an idea to someone in a very short time period
How to make a good pitch? Be energetic! Don’t be boring. Practice, practice, practice and make sure you come prepared.
